What is LocalMesh?
LocalMesh is a volunteer-built regional radio network across the UK. It works without mobile signal or internet, making it a useful alternative when those services are unavailable.
Using LoRa (Long Range) radio technology, you can send text messages to family, neighbours, and your community – completely independent of mobile masts, internet providers, or mains electricity.
Built on MeshCore technology – an open-source protocol that lets messages hop across a decentralised network of volunteer-run repeaters.
The network grows as more people join. Every new participant and repeater extends coverage and strengthens the network for everyone.
