What is LocalMesh?

LocalMesh is an emergency communication network built by volunteers across the UK. When mobile networks fail or internet goes down, LocalMesh can provide an alternative way to stay in touch.

Using LoRa (Long Range) radio technology, you can send text messages to family, neighbours, and your community – completely independent of mobile masts, internet providers, or mains electricity.

Built on MeshCore technology – an open-source protocol that lets messages hop across a decentralised network of volunteer-run repeaters.

The network grows as more people join. Every new participant and repeater extends coverage and strengthens the network for everyone.

Why LocalMesh?

Be prepared for when normal communication fails.
