With typical crisis usage patterns (periodic checking, occasional messages, some coordination), expect 3-7 days from most devices. Heavier activity reduces this. A pocket power bank significantly extends capability.
Can I charge from my vehicle?
Absolutely. Any USB car charger works. This becomes valuable during extended power cuts when your vehicle battery remains the only available power source.
Are solar panels effective in British weather?
Output reduces on overcast days but remains useful. A 10W panel maintains a LoRa device even through typical British conditions. Direct sun charges faster, but any daylight helps.
What happens when power runs out?
The device powers down. Messages addressed to you are held by the network using store-and-forward. When you recharge and reconnect, pending messages get delivered.

Yes, this works well. Modern lithium batteries handle sustained charging without issues. For portable devices, occasional full discharge cycles are marginally better for long-term battery health.
