Technical details
Heltec designed the V3 around the capable ESP32-S3 system-on-chip. This provides ample processing power for MeshCore firmware whilst maintaining energy efficiency. The SX1262 LoRa transceiver represents current-generation technology with excellent sensitivity.
WiFi and Bluetooth enable flexible configuration approaches. Connect via smartphone app for quick setup, or use WiFi for more detailed administration. Either approach works well for typical users.
Purchasing note: Many sellers offer bare boards only. For practical field use, acquire a complete kit including enclosure, antenna, and battery. Bare boards require additional components and assembly time.
