RAK wismesh hub

The bridge between your local mesh and internet-connected systems.

Important: 868 MHz for Europe

Always buy the 868 MHz version for use in Europe. The 915 MHz version (US) is not allowed in Europe.

Understanding the RAK wismesh hub

The RAK WisMesh Hub (officially WisMesh Gateway) links your mesh network to internet infrastructure. Pick between WiFi or wired Ethernet connectivity depending on your installation requirements.

Messages arriving via LoRa get forwarded to an MQTT broker of your choosing - whether the official community server or your private installation. This enables monitoring dashboards and integration with home automation platforms.

RAK's WisMesh products arrive ready for deployment - pre-assembled and pre-configured, eliminating soldering and complex setup procedures.

Practical applications

RAK produces two gateway configurations: the WisMesh WiFi Gateway (RAK10719) using ESP32 for wireless backhaul, and the WisMesh Ethernet Gateway (RAK10720) with nRF52840 plus W5100S-L for cabled connections.

The wired variant supports Power over Ethernet through the optional RAK19018 module. One cable then carries both network data and electrical power - simplifying installation considerably.

Both gateways handle JSON over MQTT and work with standard mesh MQTT brokers. Perfect for constructing monitoring dashboards, archiving communications, or triggering home automation routines.
